Hey there!
Thanks for hopping over to my site. This blog has had many iterations since 2017, and if I had an ounce of pride, I would delete my oldest blog posts or seriously edit them. Everything you see here is authentic to the journey God has led me on through my 20s – a journey of self-discovery, marriage, ministry, motherhood, divorce, heartbreak, and healing. He wrote my story, and I trust Him to use it for His will and good. Now that the heavy stuff is out of the way, here’s a bit about me…
- Reading is my first love. My best friends growing up were the characters in my favorite books, and I still surround myself with literature as much as possible. I love testing my apartment’s structural integrity by stuffing it with 200+ books (and counting).
- I’m a Texas girl with a heart for the mountains. Aside from a couple years in Colorado, I’ve spent my entire life in the Lone Star state!
- I’ve been teaching group fitness since 2020, including cycle, barre, and Pilates. Few things bring me more joy than celebrating people’s strength and victories amidst EDM music and rave lighting.
- I have a horrible sweet tooth and can’t resist snacks, so please don’t tempt me.
- If I’m not eating sweets, I’m probably eating pasta. Some might call me the pasta queen, but that’s another story.
- I am an Enneagram 4w3, ENFJ, Cancer sun/Leo rising/Gemini moon and all of that is hilariously, embarrassingly accurate.
- My dad has been a pastor my whole life, and I’m a 3rd-generation pastor’s daughter on my mom’s side. I’m blessed to have been raised in a family of faith, with all the messiness of the church and its people to grow from.
If you get anything from my writing, I hope it’s this: You are deeply loved and fully known by a merciful, beautiful God. He knit every part of you together on purpose for a purpose, and He is always ready for you to run into His arms. You are never too far gone, too broken, or too much for Him. I’m living proof.
